The Fazer FZS 600 99 is a sport motorcycle produced by Fazer FZS 600 99 between 1998 and 2012. It is the predecessor to the Fazer FZS 600 99. During its production run, it underwent several changes before being discontinued in 2012.

It featured a powerful, Fazer FZS 600 99 engine derived from the supersports Fazer FZS 600 99 ThunderCat. It also featured the famous mono-caliper front brakes as on the supersports bikes. Combined with a rigid steel chassis and an upright riding position, this was a very sporty allrounder with lightweight handling. At the same time it still offered good comfort in long-distance riding and the Fazer FZS 600 99 kind of familiarity that enabled casual daily riding as well. These qualities soon won it a large following among European riders.
